Gould Evans Associate Principal Emily Harrold recently spoke on a panel that tried to address issues facing women designers during this year’s Kansas City Design Week. Emily was joined by four other talented women who have risen to the top – Cady Beansmith with Barkley, Erika Moody with Helix Architecture + Design, Megan Stephens with Willoughby Design, and Julie Vinh with Hallmark.

Gould Evans National Managing Principal Tony Rohr, Jean Stoverink and Katie Pohlman recently visited the University of the District of Columbia's College of Agriculture, Urban Sustainability and Environmental Sciences. Tony spoke to a group on designing a design firm in a world full of constant change.

Yesterday our Lawrence studio volunteered as judges for the annual Pinckney Elementary School Spelling Bee. The kids coasted through “rhythm” and “separate,” but “eighth” ended up being the real stumper. Congrats to all the contestants and the winner, Olive!

Yesterday Gould Evans' Landscape Architect Robert Whitman spoke at the 63rd Annual Shadetree Conference in Topeka, Kansas! His presentation was - Great Communities Need Great Trees - included the benefits of street trees.

Gould Evans Principal Doug Thornley recently presented at the Wine Marketing & Tourism Conference with Lisamarie Kennedy, Hospitality and Events Manager at MacRostie Winery & Vineyards, and Dr. Damien Wilson, Hamel Family Faculty Chair at Sonoma State University. The session focused on maximizing tasting room sales through the visitor experience.
