Olathe’s Indian Creek Library Brings Community and Nature to an Overlooked Facility
KANSAS CITY, MO – October 18, 2019 – Nationally recognized design and planning firm Gould Evans, in partnership with the City of Olathe and library programmer Group 4, has designed the newly completed Indian Creek Library in Olathe, Kansas. The 47,000-square-foot adaptive reuse project prioritizes community gathering spaces, such as a café, makerspace, teen zone, children’s garden, public meeting rooms, and courtyards.

KANSAS CITY, MO – July 16, 2019 – Nationally recognized design and planning firm Gould Evans, in partnership with Kahler Slater’s team of Medical Planning Consultants, has designed the newly completed Patterson Health Center in rural Harper County, Kansas. The 62,500-square-foot facility unites two formerly separate critical access hospitals under one distinctive roof that pays homage to neighboring communities coming together.

Brady Street Visioning Workshop
Last week we hosted a ‘Brady Street Visioning’ workshop in our San Francisco Studio. We invited neighbors and community members to give input on improvements they’d like to see on our block (Brady Street between Otis and Colton Street).
Our studio sits within ‘The Hub’—a neighborhood currently being revitalized—and we’re hoping to make updates to our street in the future. Stay tuned for more!
Friends of the Children – SF Bay Area Service Project
We had a great time rolling up our sleeves and building kitchen cabinets to complete the renovation for our awesome client Friends of the Children – SF Bay Area! The work that this national organization does in providing long-term, one-on-one mentors to the most vulnerable children in our communities is powerfully transformative.

Gould Evans San Francisco Studio Hosts Brady Street Neighborhood Potluck
Our SF Studio had an amazing turnout at its first Brady Street Neighborhood Potluck Lunch! We're thrilled that so many different members of our community like SFPD Southern, San Francisco Office of Civic Engagement and Immigrant Affairs, SF 311, San Francisco Public Works, San Francisco Safe and Veer & Wander came to meet and share a meal in Streetspace, our new community gathering space!
