In continual commitment to entrepreneurship in Kansas City, we’re proud to collaborate with Thank You Walt Disney, Inc., digiSTORY KC, and Plexpod on the rehabilitation of Laugh-O-gram Studios, the site of Walt Disney’s first professional film studio. The 10,000-square-foot project will feature coworking space—including the preservation of Disney’s original office—a digital media lab classroom, a small museum, conference areas, and a 50-seat theater and lecture hall.

“I can’t say enough about Gould Evans and their team and what they’re doing. . . . From the outside, you’re going to have a pretty accurate look at what the building looked like 100 years ago. On the inside, I think you’re going to see some incredible design elements,” said developer Butch Rigby.

The building is located at 31st and Troost in Kansas City and was originally designed in 1922 by Nelle Peters, a prolific and path-blazing female architect.
