Salt River Pima-Maricopa Community Tribal Justice Center Recognized with Highest Honor at the 2019 AIA Academy of Architecture Justice Facilities Review
PHOENIX, AZ – November 2019 – Nationally-recognized design and planning firm Gould Evans is pleased to announce that the Salt River Pima Maricopa Indian Community (SRPMIC) Justice Center was awarded a Citation for the 2019 AIA Academy of Architecture for Justice Facilities (AIA AAJ) Review. Its seventh notable award, the Justice Center has consistently been recognized for its mediation of tradition and modernity, rural and urban, tribal and western justice. A tribal court and practitioners’ building located on sovereign tribal land, the Justice Center was designed to uphold the tribe’s unique sense of identity, beauty and humility in what has historically been a complicated cultural landscape. The Justice Center is not only a court of law, it’s a community resource that promotes well-being and civic duty.

Kansas City architecture and planning firm, Gould Evans, honored by APA with top national awards for their work in Kansas and Missouri
KANSAS CITY, MO – October 14, 2019 – Nationally-recognized architecture, design, and planning studio Gould Evans recently received two celebrated awards from the American Planning Association (APA). Gould Evans’ planning work, for both the Westport District Master Plan and the Wichita: Places for People Plan, won the 2019 Outstanding Plan award from their individual state chapters of the APA.
